Both ships were sunk in the south Atlantic for a total of 15,960DWT

Fate: Scuttled on 3 May, 1944 in the Arabian Sea off the east coast of Somalia, in position 09º32"N 50º59"E, after running aground during a British air attack by 6 Wellington aircraft (Sqdn 621 and 8).
