1 January 1944: Commissioned, Lcdr D. McVickar, USNR, in command

5 July 1946: Decommissioned at Green Cove Springs, Fla.

1 March 1951: Transferred (MAP) to Netherlands, renamed MNLMS De Zeeuw (F-810)

7 March 1951: Stricken from the NVR

15 December 1967: Returned to U.S. custody

February 1968: Sold, scrapped

Machinery: 4 GM Mod. 16-278A diesel engines with electric drive, 6000 shp, 2 screws.

Speed: 21 knots.

Range: 10,800 nm @ 12 knots.

Destroyer Escort Eisner stood out of New York 19 March to join Task Group 27.4 underway to Recife , Brazil with DE 193 GARFIELD THOMAS and Cve 67 Solomons proceeded zigzagging on bow of Solomons . On 25 march, one plane crashed into flight deck of Solomons . Crew picked up by Eisner and treated by CD 55 doctor. Plane sunk. Task group dissolved on 31 Mar. when Eisner and Garfield Thomas proceeded to Recife. Reached Recife on 2 Apr. Departed on April 3rd.
